Becoming a Mother
I realize this is the "obvious" precious moment... however after experiencing this myself, I now truly understand why this is one, if not the most, life changing moments of a women's life and deserves the title of "life's most precious moment".  It's of course the first time you see and hold your child after (s)he's born.

I am an “older” first time mother and spent my twenties and thirties working very hard for companies that moved me around the country…several times.  I was very focused on work and starting a new consulting business when I became pregnant with my daughter. At the time, I did not believe in or even consider the option of slowing down. I worked through my pregnancy up through the last week before giving birth to my daughter.

My pregnancy had been text book, however, my labor and delivery was not. After 27 hours of labor and over 2 hours of pushing, we were told that an emergency C-section was minutes away if conditions did not improve for my baby and me. With the grace of God and a wonderful L & D staff, my daughter came into the world at 1:20 pm  - without a C-section!

It’s almost impossible to describe the feelings you experience once they place this new-to-the-world baby into your arms for the first time and for some reason I did not expect it.  I had spent months thinking about her and what she would be like, look like, and act like.  And then you see her for the first time.  I can only describe it as an interesting cocktail of adrenalin, oxygen, numerous medications and mostly LOVE and JOY. The feeling is unlike anything I had ever felt before in my life.  It’s pure, indescribable LOVE.

Thank you God for “the most precious moment” in my life!

A Good Boy
My mother was spending the day with my oldest son, then 5 or 6 years old, and couldn't help tellling him, "Josh, you are such a good boy."

Josh smiled contentedly and replied, "Yes, I am a good boy ... but Jesus was the BEST boy!"

Blessed with a Baby
After 9 years of marriage and waiting, my husband and I were finally blessed with a baby through adoption 7 weeks ago.  It is the most amazing feeling to fall in love with someone the instanst you see her.  It has been a long road of infertility treatments for 4 years that never resulted in a pregnancy and then a year and half wait going through the adoption process.  But God has truly blessed us with Katie and we now know why we had to go through all the other trials and disappointments because now we have the most beautiful baby girl you could ever imagine.  My feet haven't hit the ground yet...I love being a mom and we are so happy to be a family!!

God doesn't always answer our prayers in our time, but he does answer them and having faith helped us through those times we thought we would never get a baby of our own.  I look forward to all the times we have coming in our future.  Katie is so loved by us and our entire family and friends.  Count your blessings everyday...God is there and He is your strength!

Cherished Memories
When my middle daughter was small we always called her Pooh-Bear and for Mothers day she bought me the Everything's Better With Friends and brought tears to my eyes as I rememered a little girl crawing up on my lap for a story.

Being a Good Parent
As my husband and I are in the beginning stages of the empty nest, I wanted confirmation that we had been good parents and taught our children spirtual truths and responsibility.  My most prized memory and blessing came from both my sons without prompting.  They told us that we had given them the freedom when they were teens to make hard decisions.  If they made the wrong choice, they knew they would face the consequences.  Also, both sons are Christian young men so seek to serve their Lord daily.
