Precious Moms was a wonderful outlet for news and information of dedicated moms and the decision to close the site was not an easy one. Warm Peppermint Dessert Beverage

Whenever I serve this I get plenty of “oohs” and “ahhs” because it is so lovely and delicious.

16 cups fat-free, low-carb milk (two 1/2-gallon containers)
2 cups fat-free, low-carb French vanilla liquid creamer
¾ cup Splenda Granular
3 teaspoons mint extract
8 cups fat-free dessert whipped topping
8 teaspoons crushed peppermint candy disks
16 peppermint candy sticks (optional)

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the milk and creamer over medium heat until hot about 15 minutes. Stir in the Splenda and mint extract.

Taste the dessert beverage. If you would like it sweeter, add 1/4 cup more of the Splenda Granular. Or, if you would like it to have more mint flavor, you can add 1 teaspoon of the mint extract.

Pour into a large slow cooker to keep warm, or ladle into mugs and put 2 tablespoons of fat-free dessert whipped topping on top of each serving. Sprinkle lightly with 1/2 teaspoon crushed peppermint candy. Garnish each serving with a candy stick, sticking out of the dessert whipped topping, letting it rest on the rim of the mug.

Serve immediately.

Note: For this recipe I prefer to use the dessert whipped topping in a can because it dresses this up prettier than a scoop or dab of dessert whipped topping. However, dessert whipped topping from a container works fine as well.
