Baby/Toddler Travel Checklist:

Traveling by plane with a baby or toddler can definitely be a challenge. Simplify your next plane flight with baby by making sure you have the following items in your diaper bag or carry-on:

  1. Ample formula, breast milk, water or juice
  2. Plenty of diapers, baby wipes and burp cloths
  3. An easily folded stroller (Most airlines allow you to stroll your baby all the way to the gate and then “gate check” your stroller just before boarding.)
  4. A warm blanket (Not all airlines provide blankets)
  5. Toys, rattles, books, stuffed animals and other sources of entertainment
  6. Teething rings or pacifiers for teething babies and toddlers
  7. Convenient finger food snacks, such as Cheerios or crackers, separated in baggies for toddlers
  8. A change of clothes for both you and baby (in case of a spill or accident)
  9. Infant’s Tylenol or Motrin (in case the in-flight pressure hurts your baby’s ears)
  10. Sanitizing wipes (for when baby drops his paci or toy on the airplane floor)
