Baby/Toddler Travel Checklist:
Traveling by plane with a baby or toddler can definitely be a challenge. Simplify your next plane flight with baby by making sure you have the following items in your diaper bag or carry-on:
- Ample formula, breast milk, water or juice
- Plenty of diapers, baby wipes and burp cloths
- An easily folded stroller (Most airlines allow you to stroll your baby all the way to the gate and then “gate check” your stroller just before boarding.)
- A warm blanket (Not all airlines provide blankets)
- Toys, rattles, books, stuffed animals and other sources of entertainment
- Teething rings or pacifiers for teething babies and toddlers
- Convenient finger food snacks, such as Cheerios or crackers, separated in baggies for toddlers
- A change of clothes for both you and baby (in case of a spill or accident)
- Infant’s Tylenol or Motrin (in case the in-flight pressure hurts your baby’s ears)
- Sanitizing wipes (for when baby drops his paci or toy on the airplane floor)
