Giftware manufacturer announces three-year partnership
Chicago, IL, September 25, 2008 — During its recent 30th Anniversary Celebration in Branson, Mo, Precious Moments, Inc. announced a three-year partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® to raise funds for the hospital in support of its mission to find cures and save children.
“Precious Moments has always been about the innocence of childhood,” said Byron Norfleet, President and CEO for Precious Moments. “St. Jude is a cause everyone can relate to.”
The giftware company unveiled the new 2009 St. Jude commemorative figurine entitled, "Holding On To Hope," which depicts a girl walking down a pathway, clinging to her teddy bear who is wearing a t-shirt that says, “HOPE.” The figurine will be available for purchase next spring. In addition, Precious Moments will release a commemorative ornament next Christmas. Ten percent of the purchase price of the figurine and ornament will benefit St. Jude, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers.
Precious Moments also is donating $1 to St. Jude for each online subscription to the Precious Girls Club, a brand new state-of-the-art interactive Web community at www.preciousgirlsclub.com for girls ages 4 and up.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, is one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
