Cheese Filled Breadsticks

Cheese-Filled Breadsticks
It’s hard to believe cheese filled breadsticks that taste this yummy can be low fat.

2 1/2 (1-ounce) individual string cheese sticks
1 (12-ounce) roll home-style biscuits, 10 in a roll
1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
 Garlic salt

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Spray a baking sheet with nonfat cooking spray.
  • Cut each string cheese stick in half lengthwise, and cut it in half again.
  • Stretch the biscuit and place the quartered piece of string cheese in the biscuit.
  • Pinch the biscuit closed around the string cheese.
  • Spray the stuffed biscuit with nonfat cooking spray and roll it in the breadcrumbs.
  • Place on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle lightly with garlic salt.
  • Bake for 7 to 8 minutes

Yield: 10 stuffed breadsticks
