Bacon, Onion, and Pineapple Cream Spread

By Dawn Hall, author of the Busy People’s Cookbook Series

This smooth flavor combination has just a hint of pineapple for a one-of-a-kind taste that everyone will enjoy.

2 (8 ounce) containers fat-free cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple in its own juice, drained, juice discarded
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon Splenda Granular
1/3 cup 30%-less-fat-bacon pieces
1/4 cup chopped green onion tops
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

In a medium bowl with a spatula, stir together the cream cheese, pineapple, almond extract, Splenda, bacon, green onions, and lemon pepper seasoning. Cover and keep chilled until ready to eat.

I think this is best served with reduced-fat butter-flavored crackers.
